Haven't heard about the SU800 but the sp550 are pretty good ones..

I am in the same position. 

 

they are priced similarly, and the SU800 is slightly bigger. 

 

according to Newegg the SU800 has a slightly higher read/write (ATTO)

 

I'm going to look for benchmarks

looks like the SU 800 has a much higher MTBF, but other than that, they look really similar.
