in short i started my first build but its not great experience  so far  coz i am noob 

 

my components are 

intel 4770 k 

asus formula mb z87 

samsung evo 250 gig ssd 

16 gig corsair vengeance 1600 ram  

and coolermaster thunder 700w power supply 

 

simply when i boot from a flash drive or dvd 

i can see windows 8 blue logo for several minutes and the pc restart 

any help please :(

Check the Bios settings can be in the IDE mode have a look to it the configuration for windos 8 its a bit of a pain, also try to install windows 7 and then update to win8

i tried 8.1

then windows 7 64 bit   and  @garbeth its on ahci  does it matter  i am new to all these things :(

Just have a look in the asus BIOS for any settings that might need changing, dont worry you can reset to the default BIOS settings if you mess up.  Also I would recommend going to the optimized defaults, then it might be a good Idea to get another computer, a friend's one or whoever and get a BIOS update, they have instructions on how to update it in your Motherboard handbook.  Make sure to check your motherboard handbook as well.  Might have some needed info.

Well ahci is the compatible mode so thats ok. The thing with win 8 its that need to format your hdd to MBR for some reason. If you hold a copy of linux try to fire it up from a USB if not download one and install it on a USB. Then search for an application called gparted and format the HDD to NTFS abd then restart the pc and install win7

update 

i cheeked every thing literally i went to my friend house and checked

the ram , the psu the ssd , every bios option there and every connection

and this man has the exact same problem as me

check it out to help him and me  please Linus you must have tech tip for case as complex  as this one 

damn i live in Iraq so there is no costumer service or any kind of  help i can get there so the only solution is  to buy new hardware or solve it online or by my self :(
