How's your shopping on Black Friday? My cousin and I of course went shopping for his new rig. When we assembled the rig and went to the BIOS, it cannot detect my hard drive anywhere. Even when we have installed Windows (Windows 8.1 Pro by the way), the computer still cannot detect my hard drive. So does anyone know how to make my hard drive detectable?

Specs
Motherboard: ASUS Z170-E

CPU: i7-6700K

RAM: 16GB DDR4

SSD: Crucial MX300 275GB (I installed Windows on this)

Hard Drive: Toshiba 2TB

GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 FTW

Is the drive spinning up?

Yes. And even the BIOS can't detect it

Go into the Boot tab in the BIOS(advanced bios). Does it show up in the Boot options at all? Or does it show up in the boot override? Is the SATA cable securely connected to the motherboard and the drive itself?

It doesn't show up anywhere
Or maybe I haven't allocated it in Disk Managemet

It should show up in the BIOS. The operating system has nothing to do with it at the moment.

Okay, I'll give it a double check

Double check everything, including that the SATA cable is properly secured to both the board and hard drive.
