using laptop screen with tower pc

not sure what to call the title

is it possible to use laptop screen as a desktop pc, if the laptop doesn't/may work at all, hope you understand, if not maybe a simple image if needed

Your laptop would need to support HDMI input, it more than likely just has out

Only if you have HDMI in, which very few laptops have (like Alienware).

Your laptop needs to have input or TV tuner card to make it as a monitor for other devices like a desktop

ok, i forgot to add 1more question, would the laptop screen turn on,when you turn the power on the tower? i've never done this before
