Overclocking cpu leading to gpu issues

Hi all,

 

So this is an odd one, I'm overclocking my FX8350 so far I've had no problems and I'm at 4.4GHz at 1.4125v. I decided to overclock through AMD Overdrive mainly so I could just apply the overclock if I wanted to otherwise I can leave the CPU stock. I used p95 for 5 hours to test for stability and I had no issues. But for some reason 2 things keep happening, first Aero disables itself as soon as I apply the overclock and then my graphics cards performance takes a hit while the CPU is overclocked. Is there anything I'm missing or should I just give up and overclock through the BIOS? The only settings I've changed are the core voltage and the multiplier
