MSI Z97-G43 vs Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3

Go to solution Solved by Apollo Refugio,

Both support SLI, 6 SATA ports i think. I think the I/O on the MSI board is better, and MSI have an m.2 slot, so I'd go for MSI. I would just for MSI.

I'd just go for MSI honestly. Plus blue on blue is sexy

Hello,

I am forced to buy new motherboard after problems with CPU.

In my country (Poland) I have two choices at exact same price:

1. MSI Z97-G43

2. Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3

I am concern to buy MSI one because my RAMs are blue and it would match coloristically, however I'd like to ask anyways: is there any difference between those two? anything small that would make one of those better? please tell me everything

Hm what about things like Dual BIOS or stronger power section? I am planning to overclock my 4690K.

My other parts are:

2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1600Mhz

SilentiumPC Fera 3

MSI RX470 4GB

XFX TS550W

From what I can see from newegg, it shows that gigabyte is better overclocker, but could just be gimmicks.

Looks like Z97-G43 has 6-phased power section but I cannot find anything about Gigabyte.

Would adding some money to ASRock Z97 PRO4 be significant? For now I'd think about MSI vs that ASRock.

Sure. It's a love/hate thing for ASRock. I have an ASROCK z97 extreme4 and people say its horrible because it crashes a lot and stuff, but it hasn't on me and i got mine pre-owned from microcenter. If you are willing to drop extra dough on that, go for it.

Already ordered MSI Z97-G43 I think it will be enough ;)

I'd like to ask a noob question: does it matter If I connect my headphones through FRONT panel instead BACK panel (directly to motherboard), sound quality won't change or something?
