hey ltt members!

so i'm going to clean my loop and still have to install a drainport, is it fine to use a Alphacool HF Y connector 45 (pic below) to split my loop?

so the straight end will go to my loop and the bottom part of the Y splitter will go to a mini valve.

just wanna make sure the Y splitter isn't going to block the flow

thx in advance

As mentioned an unused port is usually the best place if necessary they also make T type fittings if you don't like the Y splitter type. However they should not impact flow in anyway.

My drain valve is fitted on the end of my UT240 rad in the bottom of the case. Previously on one of the ports of the pump/res. You don't have to split the loop if you have a low point in the loop in which you can attach it

my plan was to use it on the front rad in the bottom of the case since that's the lowest point, i do have a free port on the res/pump combo but that wouldn't look nice.

as always thank you guys for the fast replies!
