I was wondering how having 2 different overclocking software running simultaneously would work. I like to use MSI Afterburner, but if I want to use my Strix's fan headers with one of my case fans, then I need to use GPU Tweak II as well. So I was wondering how the card would act with both software running? Would it prioritise the highest overclocked settings or choose one of the software over the other entirely and randomly?

I need to have my OC settings from AB but I want to have the system fan settings used from GT2.

Any suggestions?

yeah gpu tweak sucks. ab is much better, but you cant run both as the clash and everything gets messed up :(

All of those GPU OCing softwares from the different GPU Brands are using the same backend wich is RivaTuner.

This is the main reason why this wold not realy work. I tryed it and GPU tweak was showing me the correct setting for the clock (wich i applied in AB) but not the correct memory speed wich i allso OCed with AB.

Having multiple OCing Softwares installed is no problem at all.

Running them at the same time shold allso not crash your system (it did not with mine) becasue still the thing wich is realy changing things on the GPU is RivaTuner running in the background (this is allso what gives you those pink FPS etc readouts inGame).

Simply set the fan header with the asus software then colse it and use AB to do the OCing (much better interface and controls)

Allso i do recomed EVEGA  precision... but this is completely personal taste.

Only thing to considder: If you have a custom bios on your GPU sometimes with some vendors their own software will detect this and not be happy with you and the GPU annymore. This happened to me with my Asus 780 on skyn3t vBios 780 :D
