Too many active established connections?

I had some problems with my intenet and I called the technical support of my provider. They said that the connection is fine and asked me to open cmd and run netstat -a.

Too many established connections they said, there might be a server running on your computer. I searched about it but I couldn't find something to find out if their hypothesis true or not.

I did some scans with avast and windows and again no results. Finally I thought about making a post and I hope you can help me.

If it's windows you're talking about you could try going to resource monitor and looking at what processes maintain those connections.

Well I an actually not willing to buy this software to fix this issue.

there are paid versions, but the free version is enough
