1060 6GB OC?

From a while back when I OC'd my MSI 970:

Quote

Anything over +200 seemed too much for this card. The memory would still keep pushing, but mostly out of fear I kept it at +700. Here are my final results.

+16% increase in Heaven Benchmark scores (2020 vs 2348 score and 80.2 vs 93.2 fps)
+13% increase in 3DMark Fire Strike (9750 vs 11044)
+10% increase in BioShock Infinite (114.89 vs 127.13 fps)

Basically not a whole lot, especially considering your temps in a laptop

The temps are really good, the keyboard gets lukewarm and the air coming out is room temp at its hottest.  Never have I had thermal throttling

OC on a laptop is usually a bad idea. What I recommend is just to raise the temp to max in msi afterburner. Just the temp target, the power target stays at 100%. It will give you higher boost clocks and a few extra frames in games. Just keep the temps in check and you'll be fine.

Would changing the setting from 'optimize power' to 'max performance' help?

it does help a little as the card is able to draw more power. The only downside is that your card will be running at 100% all the time, thus producing more heat and draining your battery quicker

I have NVIDIA Optimus so 98% of the time I'm on integrated graphics.  Idc how much it draws when plugged in.

Would it damage the card to run at 100% all the time?
