Hello,

I am looking for a nice sturdy case to hold everything from http://pcpartpicker.com/list/K8H4NN

The main thing I am looking for are:

  • The total weight of the system should not exceed 20kg (45pounds) - case included
  • maximum width of the case may be 20cm (8.25")
  • maximum height of the case may be 50cm (20")

Now the things which the final choice depends on are:

  • Should be high quality made, so it can hang on the cpu holder under the desk
  • Prefer aluminium and clean look (don't need RGB stuff etc, front doors to hide bays and stuff). Something that would look normal in an office f.e.
  • I don't need drive cages, as I'll be running raid1 on m.2
  • Preferably at least 2 5.25" bays - one for mobo provided and other for disk drive
  • Doesn't need to have dedicated space for cable management - will only run 24pin and vga there. This is mainly a no-no since it increases case width beyond limit.
  • Must have an option to put at least 240 radiator (240,280,360) on top since I'll be running a liquid cpu cooler. Preferably enough height to allow for push/pull config. I'll be running RAM without any obscene coolers.
  • Highly prefer a dust filter on top/front is possible. I'll be running a positive pressure, intake top (and front if possible). Exhaust back (and passive bottom side if case has a ventilator mounts there.)

So far I have landed onto  Fractal Design Core 2300 ATX Mid Tower Case, but I am really worried it won't fit the 240 grill with fans on top of it, not speaking of trying to fit push/pull there. (its dimensions are 45cmX21cm)

If it is possible to find full tower case that would fit size limits, I'm ok with that, but most of them don't fit and I'd waste the space at the bottom, maybe even over load the weight.

If you manage to find anything helpful, thank you in advance

Most certainly won't fit a push-pull, but otherwise: Aerocool Aero-800. I have the Aero-1000 with a 280mm (Kraken X60) on top, and it was a pain to install in push only (because I didn't want to remove the motherboard, otherwise it would have been easy :P). It depends a bit on the motherboard's layout, but I don't think any mobo can make enough of a difference to fit double fans there. The Aero-800, if anything, claims a bit lower clearance at the top, although I expect them to be the same. The only reason I don't recommend the one I know is because it's 21cm wide, so 1 beyond specs. If you can fit 21cm, then I can certainly recommend the 1000. The Aero-500 claims higher clearance at the top, but it's 203mm-wide... you may want to check it as well.

Other than that, they have the 5.25 bays, the radiator support, the top filter (and everywhere else, although not all models are equally easy to remove and clean), the clean look (especially once you remove the 5.25 covers, which you will do). Problem: they aren't made of aluminum, so the weight isn't exactly tiny. In that sense, if you can afford the extra 3mm of the 500, you can limit it to 4.9Kg.
