hi

 

since a few days my tablet with android 4.2 random shuts off, about half an hour in use it shuts it self off. I must restart it manually. when i do the wifi password is erased this happened mutiple times .is it a virus? because avg doesn't detect anyting.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D | RAM:Corsair LPX 3200 mhz (32GB) 

Mobo:ASUS Strix B550-F Wifi | GPU: Gigabyte 9070

Case: Sharkoon Nightshark RGB| Storage: 500 GB 970 EVO Plus 1 TB WD blue 500 GB Samsung HDD

Monitor: iiyama G-Master G2470HSU-B1 165Hz

Powersupply: Cooler Master GX III Gold 750

 

 

Main Laptop

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H | RAM: Team group 16 GB 2666 mhz

GPU: RTX 2060 (MXM swappable)

Monitor: 1080p 120Hz

Storage: 2x 1 TB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe (no raid)

 

 

Second Laptop

CPU: Intel Core I5 1235u,  RAM: Crucial 16 GB 3200 mhz

GPU: IrisXe 80 eu

Storage: 512 GB WD Digital SN530 NVMe

Xiaomi MI 11

 

Work Phone:

Not likely that it's a virus. The only way you could get a virus on Android is if you download and install an app from outside the Google Play store. Have you done that? If not, it's probably a power issue. Maybe it needs a new battery. 

 

Also, virus scanners on Android are *almost* entirely worthless. Even if you sideload an app with a virus they probably won't find it.

No i don't download outside the store. it could be the battary. but that doesn't explain why my wifi password is erased

There are other ways to obtain a virus but they are so unlikely, I don't see much point in bringing them up. You're right though, I should avoid using all-encompassing words...

But to be serious, I'm not sure. I suppose an app could have deleted that data, but I've never heard of that happening. I'm not even sure if it's possible.

i think i reset my tablet and see how it goes :)
