Expect to pay (USD) $40-$50 for hgih quality RAM (8GB).

For the processor the max that this computer supports is probably going to be the:

Intel Core i5-2540M

Expect to pay $70 to $100 for that processor in good condition.

Reasons being that this was a factory option available for your notebook so it will almost always work.

Also since you're only throwing in like $110 to $150 on the entire upgrade process, you could grab yourself an SSD. SSD's are the ultimate upgrade. Period.

Also forgot to mention that if you upgrade the CPU from a Pentium you will need to buy a slightly different CPU cooler.

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.91 GHz RAM: G.Skill 4x4GB 2133Mhz DDR3 GPU: AMD HD 7970 3GB SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 500GB PSU: Corsair HX620W  Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 Case: Phanteks P400 Tempered Glass (Black) Monitor: Dell P2412H, Dell 2012H Keyboard: Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Classic Mouse: Logitech G203 Prodigy HDD: WD Black 3TB
