Hello !
Im new here and i have been thinking about getting a livingroom PC for a while, mainly for the sake of STEAM

what is the best alternative? a mini gaming PC (something like alienwere Alpha? or the STEAM machine ?)
for playing 4player games or indie games smoothly. Rocket Leauge would be nice if it runs good without latency ...

would love to get a head on head review on the Alpha vs Steam Machine <3

if im on the wrong topic i kindly ask admin to move or inform me

Thanks and love from the Sweden

Steam machine is not good for indie games. In my experience, Indie games rarely support Linux.

the alienware alpha is frankly, an overpriced piece of junk that no one who is money smart buys. It'd be more worth your time if you bought a zotac or intel nuc. https://www.amazon.ca/Intel-NUC-NUC6i7KYK-Mini-BOXNUC6I7KYK1/dp/B01DJ9XS52/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1476922074&sr=8-4&keywords=intel+nuc+i5

Or do you have recomendations on a gaming-livingroom laptop ? price 600 - 800$

I go away quite frequently so it wold be nice to take it along without a separate keyboard and screen and mouse and all the stuff...
