[I do not know if this is legit, but it has a secure sign in their http link so I'm assuming and learning towards the site being legit]

 

Znetlive, an Indian company, is giving away .net registrations for a year if you put down a coupon: "FREENET", all they request from you is patience from a day to two.

 

Be notified that the offer is only valid from the 11th (yesterday as of BST timezone) to the 13th. 

 

Worth letting you know that guys.

I just noticed that when you said it. However I would assume that if it would just be in India it would state it. Something in the lines of "offer only valid for customers in India". So I'm not sure. I mean in a few days or so I can confirm if I got the domain, but then the offer would be gone.

 

The best bet is just signing up and trying out for yourself even if you don't live in India. When I signed up it had pretty much the UK available and every other country in the world, and even accepted the discount that I had... So I think it applies to everyone in those cases.

Yeah exactly, they are a legitimate domain provider so there is nothing wrong with trying.

You need an indian phone number w/ verification... well I just wasted 20 minutes.

Finally got an email stating my domain couldn't go through because I wasn't an Indian customer, I apologize for everything in advance and didn't know this myself and they didn't exactly state it well otherwise. However, if anyone here is from India I suggest getting one at the end of today.

Anyone under the sun can install an SSL certificate on their website to make it HTTPS and thus display the Padlock in the address bar.
