Hi!

okay so I'm about to undertake a DIY case project (just for the experience) and I was thinking of a sort-of dual chamber design.

I was just wondering if cooling the HDD is necessary. As I've looked at the Corsair Air 240 and up, they don't have any form of cooling for the SSDs and HDDs.

I'm just looking for some info so I can continue with the case's design.

Cheers!

Its not really necessary. They don't create enough heat to damage themselves anyway, and they are rarely cooled in laptops, and they are often place right next to hot components, so it really isn't needed

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”
