There are 3 issues i have not been able to figure out. None of the USB ports on my new MSI Z170 motherboard are working when you plug somehting into the like a mouse, the mouse lights up for a moment then goes off. So after a bit of work i was able to use a PS 2 key board to navigate the bios and get windows 10 installed (other issues to follow) then i used teamviewer to allow me to use another computers mouse to navigate more effectively though the menus. how ever when i get in to devise manager under the USB controller it says tells me there is a error code of 10. There is no mouse cursor on screen (excpet in the bios but it does not move) even when i am using teamviewer. I know that it is there and moving because when i hit control button it pings the mouses location i just can not see it. the last issue is that the computer will not restart properly. When installing windows 10 it of course wants to restart a few times during the installation process. However when the computer tries to restart it never starts back up. The screen goes black, but all the fans continue to spin and the keyboard stays lights stay on. No matter how long i leave it alone it never restarts. So flip the power switch and turn it off and then back on and it resumes installation of windows. I believe that since it will not restart properly and i have to turn the power off that it is corrupting the drives for the USB. What happens if i have to get a new motherboard will i also have to get a new windows 10 key? my understanding was that the key is tied to the motherboard, is there a way to salvage it?

Recap Problems

1.No USB ports work at all error code 10.

2.Invisible mouse cursor that does not move.

3.Windows will not restart properly.

Things i have tried.

1. installing drives that came with motherboard

2. reinstalling windows 10

3.removing cmos batter and holding power button.

4.updating windows 10

5.updating USB drivers (says i have best drives)

6. checked all power connections.

7.gone into mouse and pointer setting to try and get the mouse to appear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated i am so frustrated at this point, i have spent 10+ hours trying to figure this out. I really do not want to have to get a new motherboard and windows 10 key. If anything is unclear please don't hesitate to ask for clarification i will do my best.
