Sony Vegas Render Help

Hi, I use Sony Vegas to edit my videos and I've noticed my render times are just ridiculous...

My setup

i7 3770k

16GB Ram

MSI 660ti PE

 

A 16min 1080p 30FPS, with a 10,000,000~8,000,000 Bps CUDA enabled render lasts for around 1 hour...

These are the settings

I need help, something musty be wrong since I see people doing their renders in much older machines in less time than the length of the video...

If you need me to post any information just let me know... I'm a n00b at this...

While i'm not expert in Sony Vegas i do believe that sort of time is normal, the videos you see of other people rendering videos on youtube or whatever are usually editted and in some cases aren't realistic at all. Those settings are basically the same that i use and i render at 720p and have to wait around 30-45mins. So at 1080p 1hr it sounds about right to me.

 

If you want you can try rendering only using CPU only if you know you didn't do a whole lot of effects and editting to the video itself. If you did then the CUDA may come in handy, otherwise using just CPU can be faster.

Well I'm worried b/c a friend running a x3 core AMD with a lower end AMD card renders a whole lot faster than me (Similar videos in length and quality...)
