Windows 7 Slow Boot on SSD

I have Windows 7 installed on a 64 GB SSD and games and other things on a 1 TB WD Blue.  Generally the system is very speedy but on startup it seems to have one hiccup.  On the screen that says Starting Windows it will take about 30-40 seconds to load the spinning Microsoft logo.  It will just sit there saying Starting Windows.  It has not always done this and after it gets past that part it logs in quickly and is fast.  Does anybody know why this is happening?

Lots of startup programs? If you have startup programs installed on the HDD it might be waiting for the mechanical drive to load stuff before it boots into the windows environment. 

 

Use "Run" to open MSCONFIG

 

 

 

Under the startup tab uncheck anything you don't need

 

And one more thing I like to do is change the boot timeout to 3 seconds and disable GUI boot

Now it will not start.  Startup Repair is trying to fix it.  Does it have something to do with the GUI boot? It only gives me the option for startup repair is there a way I can get into safe mode and change the setting back?

The No GUI shouldn't have anything to do with it. It simply gets rid of the Windows animation. However, changing the boot timeout may have caused the issue you are currently encountering. Changing that was not necessary and wouldn't have improved anything anyways in this situation.
