$800CAD Build

aSpoink

Im helping my brother build a new PC. His budget is $800CAD, excluding HDD and SSD which he will reuse from his old PC. I was thinking something like this-

The only things im not sure on are the mobo and gpu. Im assuming the psu is enough for the build, and I doubt he will ever sli or anything like that. He will not be overclocking, and the case isn't chosen yet since im leaving that up to him. He's also going to order everything off of Newegg.

Edit: His goal is to play Bo3 on high settings, and other AAA games like GTA 5.

lol its an AMD card so Crossfire

Try for a GTX 1060 instead. Much better performance, while staying under 800CAD

Get a 6400 and use the difference to get a 480 and you're golden.

Do you know if there is a difference between the 6400 and the 6500? Or is it just the clock speed on the 6400 is lower.

Would go with a 1060 3G over the 470 for the same price.

swap out the s12ii for the cx550m, would recommend the gtx 1060 6gb or rx 480 8gb instead. otherwise its fine.

So this is fine? The SeaSonic unit was the same price as the cx550m so I thought that would be better.
