Is a 400w power supply enough for this build? :)

-Asus radeon 6850

-Intel q6600

-4gb ddr2 ram

-MSI Motherboard

-Tp-link network-card

-2,5 1tb hdd.

Thanks in advance :)

It's fine but what 400W is it? Not all are created equal and some lie about their potential output.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Yeah I found it, all of the review information I found is very old and outdated. To me it looks like that is a very old unit (released 2002?). I still wouldn't recommend it if possible.

Ok, i'll take the advice. I don't think theres any big danger in it tho, the system won't be my main system, and the rest of the system is already pretty old.. I'll also get it for a pretty big bargain.

Is there anything i should take into concideration if i do buy it?

Not really. It may work, from what I found it seems like this was a metiocre psu from like 10+ years ago, so it may not be terrible. I'm sure you can get away with using it, but you might want to consider a newer option. If you do decide to buy a different psu, I suggest looking at STRMfrmXMNs guides and lists.

That's not a 400w by today's standard, as well as that power supply was design for systems well over 10 years ago. This doesn't take into account any degradation of the internal components used in the unit that require service.

You should get a proper power supply for your system. Can you state a budget and provide link to stores you can buy from?

Well, even if that's the case, it's still ideal to buy it in your country, is it not? As you don't need to spend extra money on shipping internationally.

The CX450M would be a good option for 579 NOK: https://www.komplett.no/product/876231/datautstyr/stroemforsyning/enheter/corsair-cx450m-450w-psu#

The base price is cheaper on Newegg.com (not factoring shipping), but remember if you do buy it internationally, you will need a compatible IEC power cord.
