Upgrading Graphic Card

Overclocking is something you could very well do, I would recommend getting the biggest water-cooler you can to get the maximum overclock, but you can get a minor OC on many air coolers (just not the stock). Find one you can afford and read the reveiws about overclocking to see what kind of headroom it will give you.

Not nescacsrily true. Any dual rad liquid cooler will be more than enough cooling, A triple rad cooler is vastly overkill. Also, you can get a minor oc on a stockcooler, depending on how good the cooler is (I don't remember much about the fx 6100 cooler). Also, a liquid cooler is not nescacsrily better than an air cooler. A solid air cooler can perform just a well as a liquid cooler for a lot cheaper. It sounds like the op is on a budget, and a liquid cooler is an unnecessary expense.

Op- I would recommend getting a 460 4gb, it will handle every game at 1080 p with some decent longevity. As for overclocking your CPU, you can consider getting a solid air cooler and overclocking the chip but the performance may not be all that much. Consider waiting until zen and replacing the board and the CPU. As for a good air cooler, I'm far from an expert on air cooling, so just ask in the air cooling tab of the forum.

Currently my computer is:

Amd fx-6100 stock with stock cooling

MSI 760gm-P21(fx) motherboard

MSI Radeon hd 7750 2gb ddr3 Graphic card

500w power supply( no idea how good it is)

Currently using 17 Inch monitor with 1280*1024 res but i'm getting  21.5" one with full hd.

Computer usage is for movies, youtube and casual gaming.

Now my dilemma is should i upgrade my graphic card? (Probably a stupid q, A=yes)

With a light research in my price range is AMD RX 460 4gb(160e) and as far as i can tell best i can get. My Q's are should i go for it, 2gb vs 4gb, or is there something better, and what?

And a side Q: Should i bother getting better cpu cooling and overclocking?

Thank you for the help.

By light gaming I'm assuming you mean Overwatch performance and less, YouTube and movies are unaffected by graphical performance just th fact that you have graphics is good enough. If you can afford the 4Gb it will perform better, but the 460 is an esports card so if that is your intended purpose the 2gb will work with todays games, not sure about tomorrow's.

Depends on what games you'll be playing. That Cpu will probably need an upgrade for an rx 460. Speaking of which,, the Rx460 is a pretty good option. Whether you get the 2 or 4gb version is dependent on what settings you play your games on, what games you play, and what resolution you play your games on.

Nothing.

I do play some moba games, but i did manage to get playable fps on Wither 3( and other so called tripleA title games or whatever they are called) with low setting on 1280*1024, but i was hoping i can get better fps on a bit higher setting on 1080p with rx 460, and maybe some OC. Maybe i was hoping for too much.

Now i'm wondering is it better to invest in better cooling for OC or maybe getting used fx-8350 and keeping it stock, but thats maybe for another time

Thank you, i will get the rx 460 4gb.

The higher, your game settings, the more video ram you will need, although overwatch does not use more than 2 gb at all because it is a blizzard game optimised for the masses and is intended for everyone to be able to play the game. i recommend the rx 460 sappire Nitro. but you may need a new cpu and cooler because the amd fx line is very old and not as good as the newer intel skylake cpu's like the i3-6100

Thank you, you really put my mind at ease.

For the future i am planing on getting decent budget for new computer, with the upcoming amd zen processors and vulkan technology maybe i can even keep the new card for some time.

Just a side q: in my market as far i can tell there is a few variants of rx 460 4gb, Asus, Gigabyte and XFX.

Is there any difference between any of them and what do i choose?

All of the variants perform very similarly, get whichever one you think looks the best to be honest.
