Sata to USB controller

My Toshiba Canvio Basics 2TB 2.5 inch external HDD constantly disconnects and reconnects randomly. I read online that the drive itself is fine but the Sata to USB controller is problematic and uses a very aggressive sleep mode that shuts off the drive even when it is transferring files. So I decided to change the controller. Can you suggest me any good and reliable sata to USB controller?
