Dumb OS question

Alright. 

 

I have a windows 7 to 10 upgrade(Lets call this license A) . I used it on my Atx build. Worked fine. 

 

Forgot to deactivate to reuse before moving over to an itx build. Called MS and ended up being given a whole new license(lets call this License B)

 

Would License A still work? Or did License B cause it to be a dead key.

 

Trying to figure out if i need a new key or not because I plan on reusing my old motherboard that License A was installed on.  

 

But I dont want an issue with License B because my itx machine uses it. 

 

So is License A still good or when i was given a new 10 key by MS tech support did it kill LicenseA?

i think license A should still work since you never deactivated it.

Did Microsoft give Key B for free? If so, they most likely deactivated Key A and replaced Key A with Key B. If not, then you should be able to

Yes key a was given to them trying to reactivate. The tech gave me key b free. 

 

And gave me a case number to hold onto.
