So I've started planning out my PC, but of course I will not be able to build it all at once due to the price tag, but I wanted to ask for thoughts on my hardware choices as well as my upgrade path.

My Build:

intel core i7-6700K

Corsair H100i v2 70.7 liquid cpu cooler

Asus Z170-A ATX motherboard

Corsair dominator platinum 2x8 DDR4-3200

Samsung 850 EVO 1 TB ssd

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Xtreme Gaming Premium Pack (mostly for the drive bay vr pass through)

Corsair Carbide Clear 600C ATX full tower inverted case

Corsair CXM 750W 80+ Bronze semi modular power supply

Upgrades:

Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 7200RPM hard drive

Corsair dominator platinum 2x8 DDR4-3200

second 1080 in sli

My plan is to get the ssd first and swap it into my laptop until I begin ordering parts and building.

Initially I will use the 1680x1050 monitors I already have until I can get a 165 hz 1440p gsync monitor

Are there any glaring issues or potential upgrades that anyone sees?

here's the pc parts picker page if anyone wants to see it there:

its way better to just save up and buy it all at once, this way you can change your build acording to releases that happen during the saving period. if something major releases that completely changes the way you want your build to be than you already are stuck with parts. middle road would be buy the mobo cpu psu at once, then gpu screen and ssd

so right notw you don't need 32 gigs of RAM, so i would upgrade that last, and what are you planning to use this machine for? if you are just gaming, then you don't need the HDD righ away, but if you are doing other stuff, then get that first and then the GPU after, The RAM should be last either way.

@supersm77 I plan on using this pc as my gaming PC as well as my main driver, so essentially lots of programming as well as file storage.

@tlink most of the build is happening at once. The upgrades are not too update sensitive I would think... Ram doesn't get updated too frequently, and I thought getting a second gpu later down the line was common upgrade practice?

@bgibbz Thanks! I don't know much about psu's, so input here is very helpful.
