Hey Guys

So recently my Logitech G9x started acting incorrectly, as in it was double clicking when i was only clicking once. I very frustrated and was worried that i would have to buy a whole new mouse, i looked online and found out that other people have had the same problem and most gave it in for repair or just bought a new mouse. I was determined to find a solution and i unexpectedly found a strange solution which actually worked for me.(don't know if this will work for other with double clicking issues) The guide showed someone which had taken apart their mouse and had placed just pieces of simple paper on the underside of their mouse clicker, so i followed these steps and what do you know, i fixed my mouse, no more double clicking.

Has anybody else had to do their own DIY repair on any other device and found a strange solution to their problem?

The "Instant Aim" button on the side of my MS-3 was slow to return to it's off position so I took the mouse apart and found that the button wasn't moving smoothly thanks to an under-sized hole. I ended up dusting off my drill bit set and reamed out the hole to allow the button to move smoothly and haven't had any issue since.

If it's not overly pricy hardware and that there's no more warranty coverage, and that the problem is annoying me to the point where it's unusable anymore, then yes I will start thinkering with my stuff :P

I repaired an old set of speakers a while back, it was ghetto but it did the job. If there's still a warranty I prefer to send it and wait 1-2 weeks to have it back than try a 5 minutes fix that will most likely void my warranty, in case it doesn't work or if I have a more serious problem later. ^^

Does the fact that my GPU is supported by a fishing line to my top 140 cutout count?
