Thanks for the replies. I believe I will be going with the Seasonic one.

Hello everyone

I will be building a PC for 3D modeling and rendering. I had a partslist in mind but some possibilities and informations made me reconsider.

Those are the parts I have already decided to buy, however I had some doubts regarding PSU and SSD

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/psTygL

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($294.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Asus B150M-C Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($38.88 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  ($38.88 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($45.88 @ OutletPC)

Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card  ($209.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($66.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Monitor: LG 25UM58-P 25.0" 75Hz Monitor  ($193.39 @ PCM)

PSU- I was going for a Corsair CX500W but it was pointed out to me that it was not a good option.

Therefore my options are:

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fZyFf7/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii520bronze

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/N86BD3/be-quiet-power-supply-bn224

SSD- Is it worth it paying the extra for the intel one or should one of the others?

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zzyxFT/sandisk-internal-hard-drive-sdssda120gg25

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GPFXsY/kingston-ssdnow-uv400-120gb-25-solid-state-drive-suv400s37120g

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/GGL7YJ/corsair-internal-hard-drive-cssdf240gbleb (120GB version not 240, can´t find the correct link)

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ztnG3C/intel-internal-hard-drive-ssdsc2kw120h6x1

In addition to that, should I bother buying extra fans for my case?

And also, if I were to replace the stock HSF for something better/quieter can someone recommend a reasonable one?

Any advice regarding those topics or other parts of the build is appreciated.

Thanks

I take it the software you render/model in supports CUDA? Maybe consider the GTX 1060, as it's faster. Or a used 9 series card. The Cryorig H7 is a good looking, nearly silent and very high performance CPU cooler. The Seasonic PSU is the best option there.

Main Gaming Rig:

Spoiler

Core i7-4770, Cryorig M9i Cooler, ASUS B85M GAMER, 8GB HyperX Fury Red 2x4GB 1866MHz, KFA2 GTX 970 Infin8 Black Edition "4GB", 1TB Seagate SSHD, 256GB Crucial m4 SSD, 60GB Corsair SSD for Kerbal and game servers, Thermaltake Core V21 Case, EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2.

Secondary PC:

Spoiler

i5-2500k OCed, Raijintek Themis, Intel Z77GA-70K, 8GB HyperX Genesis in grey, GTX 750 Ti, Gamemax Falcon case.

I forgot to mention, but yes does. I was going for a 1060 but its current price is just too high to be fit into my budget, that is why I had to go down to a 960. Regarding used cards, that is not an option since I am Brazil and the market for those is not reliable.

I will take a look into that cooler. Thanks

EVGA can be a good brand, but not at all for their 80+ Bronze or below models.

their B2 bronze power supplies are excellent units. their B1 and W1 units are fine for low-end pcs.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
