guide to full overlocking?

I'm new to this "power pc" type of stuff. I've used a cheap laptop for gaming and I want to know if i'm damaging my computer by overclocking an intel skylake 6700k to 4.7ghz at 1.230v. Its a new pc and i don't want to break it. Loads windows and stuff. just wanting to know if i'm breaking anything. Thank you for your assistance.

Which CPU Cooler do you have?

If you do it right, it just should reduce the lifespan of the CPU.

cooler is a corsair h100v2 i believe. 240mm all in one water cooling

1.230v is not going to damage anything, especially with a good cooler such as yours. On the other hand, though, I doubt 4.7ghz will be stable at such low voltage, so watch out for that.
