Creating Airflow for the Node 202

Go to solution Solved by Trav_X,

I would say get the Cryorig C1 for CPU cooler, it's $30 USD and cools at the same level as a Noctua L9i or better. If not the C1, get the Noctua L9i, and if not that, get the SilverStone AR05.

For GPU, don't have the fans pulling opposite direction. I don't believe that is a good idea from what I've heard before. Get two SP120's from Corsair or some NF-F12's from Noctua and push them going INTO the case, fills the case with cold air and pushes the hot air out due to the laws of thermodynamics and positive case pressure.

Hey guys, so I want to get better cooling for my PC. Important aspects to know is that it's a Fractal Design Node 202 case, so that means there's only space for 2 fans beneath the GPU, I'm running Stock cooler on the CPU and GPU, The GPU is an EVGA GTX 970 FTW. So questions to come.

  1. Which CPU cooler should I get?
  2. Which two 120mm fans should I get to make an exhaust under the GPU and would having the GPU and the fans trying to pull air in opposite directions in less than one inch space work?

Yeah, I was thinking about the Noctua Cooler and some Noctua fans, which of the NF-F12's would you recommend?

these are the standard NF-F12's, but if you don't like the color you can get the industrial ones but they're more expensive.

or Corsair SP120's or their new ML120's.
