Need help with installing win 7

So I just got my self this new lenovo ideapad 300 I think it's called and it has no os. I tried installing win 7 through a cd wich has a pirated version on it and it worked on like 3 laptops before this one but for some reason the bios doesn't even recognize a cd. I also tried installing windows through a usb stick. Also did not work and I did use rufus.
I have no idea what to do usb boot is eneabled in bios but still won't boot at all it just ends up booting into Dos.

try to check the first bootable device on your BIOS

You can download a legit version of Windows 10 here and burn it to a disk or use http://www.isotousb.com/  and install it. If you've ever had a legit Windows 7 or 8 then you might have a Digital Licence and should be activated

Can I install windows 10 with an external hard disk or do I need a usb

It might write to a usb faster than a disk but either works
