Good day all,

This weekend I build a new PC, and was in the process of enjoying said new PC on Battlefield 4, when I realized that my Turtle Beach x41s mic was not working.

When I check the "Sound" section the headset itself is only recognized as a "USB Sound Device" under playback, and not at all under Recording. I currently have the headset connected via 2 USB 3.0 Jacks in the rear of my PC using the Amigo II adapter, and the normal USB plugin for the base power.

It appears in Device manager the same way, as a "USB Sound Device", I have tried finding drivers for it, but because it's not recognized even that proves to be difficult.

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but any help would be appreciated.

on a side note, I have tried restarting, and switching ports.

Thanks a bunch.

Currently I have it set up with the Amigo II, which is one of the accepted methods. I should also Qualify that the exact same layout works flawlessly on the laptop about 3ft from the computer It's not working on hehe. I assume I'm probably missing something on my New PC that the laptop has. Cant for the life of me figure out what though.

Audio drivers? OS detection?

Audio drivers? OS detection?

I removed the headset, then all 3 sound drivers in my Device manager, then re-installed the 2 from my system. I then plugged in the headset again to allow it to re-install its drivers, but I still get the same generic "USB Sound Device" driver instead.

Can you elaborate a bit on the OS detection part?

Windows 7 can detect different devices plugged in and can search the internet or device for the correct drivers to put in.

As far as I can tell, it accurately detects everything else. (even when I switch things to different ports.

Strange> May I ask where the mic is connected to? Is it using a correct connection for the splitter? If not, then I have pretty much run out of ideas.

The mic is connected into the USB 3.0 jacks on my Mobo. (Have alternatively tried the USB2.0 jacks on the case) It is connected via the Amigo II which uses the Digital In for the mic.

Try to connect with auxiliary
