Video Editing Rig Update( need help)

Hello a month or two ago, I came here to find the best build including a monitor that would be use for after effects and cinema 4d motion graphic work as well as video editing,

there were many great suggestions and I gave up on that, because life ain't all rainbows and unicorns, so instead, I bought a monitor first, used it with my laptop and then built my first pc, which was a massive headache because I hadn't done this since the 8th grade, and the F'in I/O shield wouldn't go in properly, I plan on doing some upgrades in the future and would like some advice as to what upgrades I could make that would be beneficial to what I do,

Here is my current configuration: 

HP 27 inch 1080p, color accurate(enough) monitor for color correction and grading

Asus Z170A motherboard

250GB Samsung 850evo SSD- this acts as both my boot and cache drive

2tb 7200rpm hard drive from a brand, I don't remember the name-this is my storage drive for my series, game of thrones(stopped watching), Mr. Robot, Stranger things etc....

2x8 Ballistix 2400mhz Ram-chose this because its white and clearance wasn't an issue

Hyper 212 Evo- I will not replace this, because this was my biggest headache outside of the IO shield

i7 6700k- chose this because of hyper-threading and better optimization for opencl compared to x99 platform chips in similar price range

EVGA 650watt Gold power supply-this was also a headache

EVGA SC GTX 1070- for better real-time previewing

Phantex 400s-just needed something to put everything in, plus it looks cool, and I like white

If there are any keyboard or mouse suggestions, wireless, full sized and looks good is a must.

And to all the professional video editors, I've been editing for around 3 months, I don't shoot or direct, edit only, I've been editing for a couple months, recently turned 18, and I'm making a certain amount per month, that would be more than $10 an hour, doing a full time job, 40 hour work week, how can I progress past this point I'm currently at? and make even more?
