Im looking to build a pc which runs csgo at 300 fps and already have some parts for a build

 

450 dollars i need to pickup a motherboard, Ram and finally a cpu. 

 

Already got a gtx 950 and looking to upgrade once i got a good cpu and stuff

 

leave suggestions please

I don't have the slightest clue why you'd get a 4460 when Skylake has a far wider upgrade path and only a $2 difference. Can drop the CPU cooler & switch to 1x8GB of of RAM in favor of a 6600K if you're interested in overclocking, but do note you'll need to get a cooler at some point.

16gb ram? a bit overkill for cs go ,unless he's gonnna be runnin chrome

get 8gb and stay with that its cheaper and current games dont need much ram power , unless u wanna start youtube than 16gb would be good for editing

No reason not to get 16GB. OP stated no preference as long as it stays under $450, and could very well have other interests. If he doesn't plan on overclocking (no one is budgeting for coolers except me, I guess.) then Z170 is even a waste. Chrome isn't that bad, but nice try.

 

Z170 isn't a problem, what if he gets into overclocking and replaces the CPU down the line? See the second sentence of my first post.
