Boot Drives which one?

Go to solution Solved by Bab22,

If size is the issue you could also just get a second 850 and pop it into your system (assuming your on a desktop)

I have a Samsung SSD 850 EVO as boot drive, but I was thinking of getting Samsung 950 PRO series M.2, would it be better to use it as boot drive or should I keep it on the old one?

*I've heard people say it is best to leave boot drive on its own and use other SSD.. not sure

Why new m.2 SSD? speed won't be increasing much and too expensive. Save moeny and get hdd for storage

um because it is only 120 GB, if there is no big difference I could just give the 850 away to my brother and use the M.2 for myself

The 950 will be blazingly fast, not sure what your doing but I'll be jealous of you. If your just gaming I personally wouldn't worry about it too much and stick with the 850 since it's already a  fast drive. It really depends on your usage if you will enjoy the extra transfer speed. For me saving the money and spending it on a new gpu down the road would be what i would use the money on.
