Help needed

hi there

im not a hardcore gamer but i do some mid range graphics and compiling large programs. decided to go for a ready build machine

i did no know what the mobo was.

cpu: i7 4790k

gpu gtx 970 4gb

ssd 120gb kingston

hdd seagate 2tb

psu dont know it was 400w

the case was a s340

ok my problems were that the system kept on crashing when i was compiling code and playing games (gta san andreas)

128gb is nothing i used all that up with like half the software i wanted to install

the case had a mat finish as was prone to scratches

i spend about £1000 for the machine

. i have returned the machine

and i intend to build my own machine

and my current situation is the cpu and mobo. im leaning towards the 6800k but the mobo's (lga 2011-v3) dont hava vga ports or dvi  but the 6700k which has a lga 1151 socket has vga and dvi ports.

is there a cheap mobo with a 2011-v3 socket with a vga or dvi port.

 

and what would you guy think i should get the 6800k or 6700k?

noting the difference is nearly double the cache and two more cores and only about £100 more.

6800k is for hardcore people, you start off by saying your not hardcore.  So its not for you.  Move on and get a 6700k.

Do note i said im not a "hard core" gamer. i do hard core  compiling and visual rendering.

also its worth mentioning my current machine is 2u  rack server with duel intel xeon cpu's it has 32gb ddr2 ram 8*4gb. its starting to go slow and im looking at a new machine

since tech has gone far enough i would think i dont need another rack server. the 6700k is a popular choice among gamers but the 6800k is something i kinda prefer but i doint intend to have a gpu as my software is cpu intensive
