Corsair Strafe issues

I recently bought a Corsair Strafe RGB Keyboard with Cherry MX Silent switches. For some reason, the left control doesn't work when doing "ctrl" commands. For example, CTRL + V/C/P don't work (just some common use commands). However, when in a game and I need to use that key it works with no problems. What could be causing that? Any and all suggestions are appreciated, even if it's something I've already tried.

is your computer's keyboard language set up correctly? i had a similar issue because it was in the wrong language

That's actually worth giving a shot. I didn't think of that at all.

yeah i thought i had damaged my keyboard somhow and then i was looking in the settings and realised it was on another language
