difference between seagate normal & barracuda drives?

just wonder what the difference between these two drives is and if its worth getting the barracuda over then normal one even though I can get a good open box deal on the normal one.

At a core level, they're the same drive. Both are 3 TB, both use SATA 3, both have 64MB of cache, and both are 7200 RPM. That second one is just a version with Seagate's newer branding scheme. Comparing the Serial Numbers (ST3000DM001 for the first drive and ST3000DM003 for the second one) you'll notice the only difference is the last digit, which likely signifies production variants of the same product. Go ahead and go with the newer version, assuming that it's the same price, but otherwise they're the same :)
