Good day folks,

I have this weird issue with my computer. It involves Stereo Mix turning on or off automatically after reboot. Its like it's got a mind of it's own. Does anyone know or have had this issue before where they have solved it? Please let me know. The only method that I know that works, is to restart the PC every time the Stereo Mix doesn't show up on the Volume Mixer (Doesn't necessarily count as a solution.) I am getting tired of having to reboot the PC just to get Stereo Mix working. Not to mention that its a hit or miss after the reboot anyway.

I have tried:

- Installing new Realtek drivers and enabling Stereo Mix

- Disabling and reinstalling the driver through Device Manager

- I have reinstalled the drivers for my headset (Razer Kraken 7.1)

- I have reinstalled the driver for the specific USB port

- I have tried plugging the headset in other USB ports

- I have updated Razer Synapse

- Setting Stereo Mix as the default device (as well as setting it as just as a " default communication device")

- I have even reinstalled Windows 7 just for this issue alone

I use Stereo Mix because I want to broadcast the same audio source at the same time through my headset and speakers (headset for gaming, speakers for movies and such.)  Again. I have run into a dead end with this issue and I have absolutely no idea on how to fix it. I am quite frustrated with the problem. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. I am also open to any kind of alternatives out there.

Thanks!

I have forgotten to list the steps I have taken to get it to "somewhat" work":

1. Enabled Stereo Mix on the "Recording" tab under "sound" in control panel

2. Set the Stereo Mix to my Razer headset and have selected "Listen to this device"

3. Set my Blue Yeti Mic as the primary device under "Recording" (I have also tried setting my headset and stereo mix as default device. No luck)

4. Under the "Playback" tab, selected my speakers as the default device

Thanks again.
