I can never bring myself to spend $250 on a motherboard.... But I have friends that do. If you are looking to increase performance this isn't the way to go.. Also depends on what CPU is in it. Don't pair it with a low end CPU that cost less then it. But if you're looking to make your computer run faster save up for another more powerful cpu and or graphics card don't waste your time on these expensive motherboards.

Any of the Asus Z170 boards will do well for you. If you want the higher priced board it comes with some nice features. In reality you wont *need* any of them but it sure is nice to have some of the top end features. if you like it and can afford it get it. If you can only afford the i3 with that board then get a lower priced Asus board and get the i5. Asus PRO Gaming or the Z170-A board are nice.
