Hello, I have been having this issue for a while and wanted to recruit the help of some LTT forum members

So for a build challenge I am doing, I picked up this prebuilt system with a i5 2400, 8 GB ram and a 500 GB hard drive for like $130.

I wanted to slap a decent video card in there and see how it ran, well I have encountered these issues.

1. I have a XFX r7 260 2gb video card that I put in the machine and I still get no display output, it still seems to be going to the onboard graphics.

2. I tried putting in an old 9600 GT video card and that one displayed properly.

3. For last effort I tested the r7 260 in my personal rig - 5820k,etc. and it worked properly.

Not sure what the problem could be. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it!

thanks a ton

Perhaps the PSU in the pre built system is not powerful enough to power the card

I forgot to mention that I did replace it with a better power supply unit
