Quick help for a friend (BIOS version)

Alright so my friend is upgrading his PC, he has had a shitty pc for years and is finally getting the money he needs to upgrade it, he has a 088DT1, Which is a H81 chipset, I know that works with the i5, but his BIOS is on A04, will this work? does he need to update his BIOS and are there any links that would help?

What is his system model on the Dell page? Just having the motherboard won't help here, we need the pre-built model to find it in Dell's page and look for compatibility and updates.

Latest version is A08 (which you can download here). Looking at the release notes ever since A04, extra compatibility for Haswell-R CPUs is not listed, so your current version will most likely work. Though you might want to update your Bios regardless of that.
