This is a pretty specific question, I'm not expecting much but figured I'd try anyway.

I have a 2011 Cadillac STS with the OEM in dash display which is severely outdated.  My center console has video inputs and my plan is to mount a raspberry pi or my LG G4 into the center console connected to the video input.  The only thing standing in my way is that the in dash display disables video inputs while the car is in drive.  I've seen expensive kits that let you retain video while the car is in drive, but for their expensive price I could just install a third party display with android built in.

Does anybody know any workarounds?  I really want to set this up, but if it comes to the point of me spending hundreds of dollars and taking apart my dash then I will have to forget it.  Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
