Who else has these? I've been putting up with them for almost 2 years and I can't fucking stand them.

For music, they're awful. They vibrate like shit despite being on isolation pads and they sound so mid-heavy.

What's an upgrade for these around the $200 mark? I got them for about half that so I should be able to find something better, right?

They're connected to a Xonar U7.

Micca PB42X would probably be better, despite being only slightly more expensive. Throw in a Schiit sys pre-amp to control the volume easily if you want to use up more of the budget.

Definitive Technology Incline might be interesting. I believe they accept a digital input, so that might kind of make the U7 a paperweight.

I can't go through onboard sound because my motherboard has awful shielding. I get all sorts of unwanted noise using that, hence the U7.

Unless you mean the Digital Incline are USB speakers?

Also - neither of those options are available in Switzerland, sadly. Sorry, I should have specified that in the OP, I forgot.

To make things easier, here's a good selection of what we have:

https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/producttype/monitor-speakers-308?f=140336&tagIds=591-543

Anything 250CHF and under, as I can probably get them from somewhere else cheaper than that site, they just have the best website. There's also a separate section for PC speakers which you can find in the navigation menu on the left.

Sigh, there seem to be stock issues with those, too.

I was recommended those before. Any thoughts?

Pretty good, IDK how much better they are than the M-Audios though

Alright. I'll try and get in touch with some retailers about the Fostex speakers. Have to be careful with anything that isn't listed as in warehouse because most retailers here just string you on by constantly delaying your order.

Would the cheaper Fostex be any good, or is 15W going to leave the sound a little thin?

IDK how good the Fostex are either. They might be better, they might not.
