I put together this list of parts, i don't know if its any good but, i want a gaming pc, and i thought these parts would be just fine. I'm not sure about the mobo and the cpu combo, but i don't plan on overclocking so i think it will be ok. If you think anything could be replaced, please let me know.

CPU: i5 6500

Mobo: Asus h170 pro gaming

GPU: EVGA 1060 Super Clocked

Storage: HyperX Fury 120gb SSD, 1Tb WD Blue

Memory: HyperX 2X4gb DDR4

PSU: EVGA 600 B1

Bonus question. If my case fan has a 3 pin and a Molex, do i have to use both or just one?

That i5 will bottleneck especially in CPU intensive games also depending on the resolutions he plays at.

That's with a 1080. That i5 is fine with a 980Ti, therefore it's fine with a 1070 (a bit more performance than a 980Ti)

Can't watch the video because 3G sucks.

I'm still sticking with what I've seen many times over the forum, its also better to have the system like this because he wouldn't notice any huge hit and he'd be able to upgrade the CPU later on.
