Flightgear Simulator launch issue

Gday folks!

I have been using Flightgear for about 3 years and is my favorite sim. Recently I have not been able to start a sim. I select my aircraft and it loads but just when it finishes loading I get an error message saying " Sqlite error:attempt to write a readonly database received from INSERT OR REPLACE INTO stat_cache (path,stamp) VALUES (?,?)".

This issue is really starting to annoy me.

I have tried reinstalling multiple times with no luck at all so any help would be appreciated!
