Hi,

I was wondering what a cheap, yet good quality motherboard plus CPU combo would be great for a 24/7 server.

what would be needed:

  • Ethernet port built in
  • HDMI port

and that is basically it, any suggestions?

Budget?

Define "server". Depending on your needs, you might want to swing your decision in favor of one part or another.

Also, I'm assuming you have RAM already? If so, that's another very important thing to keep in mind. Or if you don't, how much are you willing to spend on it?

actually i dont have RAM already, and its mostly to run servers for multiple games and such. the reason i havent chosen ram is to allow for a wider option range on the motherboard and chip set side
