Just got windows 10 installed to my brand new 240GB Transcend SSD, and I think I have some issues. The Motherboard is an ASUS LGA 1155 P8H61 mATX board with SATA 3.

The review here http://www.kitguru.net/components/ssd-drives/simon-crisp/transcend-ssd220s-480gb-review/4/

shows read speeds twice of what Im getting with the same SSD (cept 240GB version)

Seq Q32 is 242 MB/s R/W

4K Q32 33.5/72.2 R/W

Seq 234.6/ 153.3 R/W

4k 26/47.7 R/W.

Is my MB just bad, (though I think the northbridge HS could use some new thermal paste) possibly drive? the SATA cable is old, think its from my old Phenom 1 rig,

I dunno, the numbers seem to be half of what they should be.

as in possible MB problem or which motherboard? If the latter I already stated, Asus P8H61 CSM/LE LGA 1155 MB.

there we go

that board uses SATA 2

its a far slower connector. if you want the faster speeds, you will need one of these

for Sata 3 Ports

Ahhh. I see. well then, its either USB 3 or SATA 3. If I go with a SATA 3 card, will my BIOS see that and boot from it?
