Installing windows 7 problem

Hi there I just bought myself a second hand hp mini (notebook laptop) and it had windows 8 pre-installed. I tried the double click thing (Hint: I dont use windows 8, only windows 7) and it says I need  to activate windows: Go to pc settings to activate Windows. so i clicked on go to pc settings but it sent me straight to desktop. can anyone walk me through blowing off the harddrive and installing windows 7 onto my laptop? P.S it has no disk drive

buy a windows 7 key and install it via usb, just google how to do that

 

during the install you will have to wipe the HDD so that will get rid of 8

When installing windows choose custom installation. This will bring up the device partitions, Windows 8 OS will be the biggest. Delete that partition and any others you won't need and then install on the unallocated space.
