First PC Build From Scratch

NateJanc

1. Budget & Location

2.5k, but willing to go $1000 or so higher. The plan is to buy the parts over time and have it built by the end of the year. United States.

2. Aim

The primary goal of this computer is to render and edit video content. That being said, I also want to use it for intense gaming, so if there is a way I can fit it all in one instead of building two rigs, that would be ideal.

3. Monitors

I will be using two 24inch 4K monitors. I already own them and currently use them in conjunction with a laptop.

4. Peripherals

Mouse, keyboard, yeti mic, headphones, webcam, maybe a few other things. Some stuff is just because my main rig is a laptop atm.

5. Other

I have a copy of Windows 10. This will be my first PC build ever. In addition, I wouldn't mind if the PC looked pretty sweet too, and obviously I'd like for it to be set for future upgrading - IE being able to put in future GPU's and CPU's, ram, etc. I also prefer SSD as a main drive and then probably something else to just toss already rendered videos on after I am through with them for long term storage. Currently using a laptop with an i7 and a 970m, with 16 gigs ddr4 ram, but I really want that to be my mobile station and have something better on hand. I do reguraly render videos that are betwee 15 minutes to 2 hours in length. Current render times on the longest videos take almost 10 hours. Would love to render in 4K too in the future. Currently when I try to do it my laptop stalls out due to overheating.

yes it can be whatever in that price range, you're just being ignorant about it to post a meaningless comment.

and i can tell you did not read his post, he says he alredy has two 4k monitors. so idk why you said 720p monitor, that makes the comment even more useless

Does this come with the SLI bridge? As I said, never built a rig before, but I know the cards are connected via some sort of bridge and I'd like to take full advantage if my build is going to feature two 1080s.

I don't know about "whatever". Yes, I have a higher price range than many do working with a small budget, but at a $2500 to $3500 range, you also open the door up to a zillion options.

Oh, add $50 for whatever HB bridge you think looks best
