So after an earlier thread, I've decided to keep current LGA platform as this can save me about $235 from skylake and the form factor I REALLY want, which is a mini-ITX build. But thats not gonna happen.
Instead I'm going to find an i5 2500 off of Ebay for about $75-$100, plop it in, along with a new SSD for Windows 10 and my games, keep my two HDDs for anime. They still work, yay. One is quite old but still runs strong.

Powering the graphics later on is a GTX 1060, I have a Galaxy GTX 460 ATM and its really showing its age. I also think its the reason World of Warships freezes on me when I tend to move the camera, 1GB memory. This will be a big step up.

Also in the upgrade path is a new case (cut down on the size a bit), the Thermaltake Core V21. I like this case, and while not the smallest, its also not the Node 804 with room for 12 drives.... something my mATX board can't support. Also looking at a USB 3.0 PCI-E X1 card, for USB 3 support, as I can see myself using a USB 3.0 thumb drive for anime sharing.

The PSU is going as well, a Thermaltake Pure Power POS. It works mostly because the system doesnt draw that much, but my GTX 1060 is getting a better PSU before it goes in.

Its not being bought all at once. this is the route I'm going.

1 SSD

2 CPU+ newer cooler (suggestions?)

3 Case & PSU.

4 GTX 1060 goodness.

5 bigger monitor (possibly 30"+ TV)

6 Keyboard, desk, assorted goodies.
